November 1995 - Present
Hi! I'm Jonah
I'm an aspiring product manager and recent graduate of the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science. I am currently an MBA student at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business. Outside of being a full-time student, I am also a Venture Fellow with the Berkeley SkyDeck Venture Accelerator Fund and a Corporate Strategy intern at Tabapay, a Softbank-backed payment processing startup. Life for me so far has been a winding road, with plenty of unexpected twists and turns.
Outside of my professional self, I love learning, history, hiking and just about any sport. I'm very proud of being an attentive (perhaps helicopterish) dog dad to my 60 lbs ball of love named Mia.
My Winding Road: Origin Story
Born in Royal Oak, Michigan I was raised on 10 Mile Road, within walking distance of the now infamous 8 Mile Road dividing the City of Detroit from its adjacent suburbs. Detroit, the home of the automotive industry and a national manufacturing hub, left its mark on me. I attribute my industriousness, resilience and blue collar work ethic to being born and raised in the shadows of the Motor City.

Entrepreneur
With a job secured starting in July 2019, but with a December 2018 graduation date, I had some runway to take on some educational and experiential risks. In the early days of January 2019, I founded an LLC: Clever Fox Agency, which was focused on digital advertising and web development for small businesses. I learned the ropes of entrepreneurship in this crash course experience!
Wall Street
After completing my tour of the US and around the world, I began my career at a Fintech company owned by State Street Corporation servicing institutional asset managers in New York and around the world. During this stint, I advised and consulted some of the largest institutional asset managers in the world. In this role, I provided technological and strategic expertise prior to taking on a role focused on the development and design of Fintech products.

Applying principles of product management and design learned in my early career, we improved annual sales revenue 41% in one year.
Carnegie Mellon University
After experiencing the excitement of building and designing a product from scratch for Habitat for Humanity, I discovered an interest in making and designing products that help businesses grow and people thrive. I took this interest and explored it further by pursuing a Master of Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University's renowned School of Computer Science.
